Saving 1800’s photos from being lost forever!

I buy/sell antique photos of all kinds. I scan all photos I get in as it is important to keep the images intact with their identifying markers so that they can be available for future generations looking to find an image of their ancestors. I store all of the photos in my Drop Box account. To get to the stored photos, click on “RESEARCH PHOTO DATABASE FOR SAVED PHOTOS”. You can click on the links under each item to view and/or download them for free!! Use the MAGNIFYING GLASS in upper right corner to search for names. And for the For Sale items, click on “PHOTOS FOR SALE” to see all the items for sale. This site is under construction daily, but when it is done it should be a great value to genealogists. The above 1860’s CDV is from the Cadwallader Collection. It is showing a group waiting to get their picture taken from a photographer on the right. You can see people waiting in line to get their picture taken!! The three CDV’s below are also from the Cadwallader Collection. From left to right is Bassett Cadwallader, center is John Cadwallader, Arabella Tappan, standing left, an Abolitionist, his wife Amelia Bassett Cadwallader seated center, Bessie Buckingham seated left, Salonie Buckingham on knees right. The CDV on the right is John’s daughter Myra Belle Cadwallader. John’s brother, John Dallas Cadwallader was a photographer also and married Arabella Tappan whose family were also photographers.

FOR SALE ON THIS SITE

I am now starting to migrate my photos from eBay to this site that are for sale. Some eBay sellers have given buyers a bad experience due to stuffing, reproductions and a slew of other problems. I will also list my items straight to this site instead of eBay. There is now a MAKE OFFER button on each item. I answer all messages within hours if during the day. The photos in the Research Database are not for sale, only the photos in the PHOTOS FOR SALE area.

Please take a look around the website and remember it is in the beginning phase of being completed. I hope you enjoy what I have posted here. All of the photos on here were purchased by me in the past 15 years. And don’t forget to take a look at my eBay store as well for what is left there. I am now posting the unidentified photos that I get in the large lots on Etsy. You can access both sites below with the buttons.

I retain the copyright to use all images of photos I have bought past or present to use as I see fit.

Also, check out my Etsy store.
